What Sand-Aid stocks

Bona Spray Mop

The centrepiece of the Bona care system. Refillable cartridge clips into the handle, microfibre pad snaps onto the base, squeeze the trigger and mop. No bucket, no wringing, no excess water on the timber. The mop head swivels flat to reach under furniture and along skirting. Designed specifically for finished timber floors -- the cartridge and cleaner chemistry won't soften or cloud water-based polyurethane.

Bona Spray Mop Pad

Replacement microfibre cleaning pad for the Spray Mop. Machine-washable, reusable. Picks up dust, hair and grit without scratching the finish. Replace when the fibres stop holding dirt or after ~50 washes.

Bona Wood Floor Cleaner (Refill 4L)

The refill bottle for the Spray Mop cartridge, or use it diluted with a standard flat mop. pH-neutral, residue-free, safe on all Bona finishes. Doesn't leave a film, doesn't dull the sheen, doesn't interfere with future screen-and-recoat adhesion. Also available as a 2.5L refill and 850ml cartridge.

Bona Cleaner 5L

Concentrated cleaner for commercial and heavy-traffic residential. Dilute in a bucket for traditional mopping or through a floor scrubber. Cuts through grime, grease and foot traffic marks without attacking the polyurethane underneath.

Bona Deep Clean Solution

Heavy-duty concentrated cleaner for floors that have built up grime over months or years. Use before a screen-and-recoat to strip old polish residue, wax build-up, and embedded dirt. Not for regular maintenance -- this is the "before you recoat" clean.

Why matched chemistry matters

Generic floor cleaners, vinegar mixes, and steam mops all risk one of two problems on a polyurethane-finished floor: either they leave a residue that builds up over time and clouds the sheen, or they're too aggressive and soften the coating surface. Bona's care range is formulated to clean without leaving residue and without attacking the finish. When the floor eventually needs a screen-and-recoat, a Bona-cleaned floor will abrade cleanly and the new topcoat will bond properly. A floor maintained with hardware-store cleaners often has a wax or silicone residue layer that causes fish eyes or adhesion failure on the recoat.

What NOT to use on a Bona-finished floor

Selling the Spray Mop to clients

The Bona Spray Mop is one of the easiest upsells at handover. When handing over a freshly coated floor, leave a Spray Mop kit with the client. It protects the work, extends the time between recoats, and gives the client a simple maintenance path that doesn't involve hardware-store products that could damage the finish. Sand-Aid stocks the Spray Mop, replacement pads, and all the refill cartridge sizes.
