Bona Quantum T

What it is
Bona Quantum T is a single-component silane adhesive built on Bona's titanium cross-linking chemistry. It sticks solid timber up to 22mm direct to the subfloor, works as a moisture barrier, and gives you an acoustic layer under the boards at the same time. Three jobs, one product, one trowelled pass.
Why installers use it
- Strong Green Grab. High initial tensile bond keeps boards flat against the subfloor while it cures. Fewer hollow spots, less callback.
- Up to 150% more shear strength than other elastic and hard-elastic flooring adhesives.
- Walk on in 4-6 hours. Sand in 12. You're not losing a day waiting for cure.
- Zero VOCs. Non-hazardous classification, no solvent stink on the jobsite.
- Won't mark prefinished floors. Won't stain your hands either -- wipes off easy.
- 3-in-1. Adhesive, moisture barrier and sound-deadening in the same bead. Saves a full install step.

How to use it
Load the 9kg sausage into the OptiSpread UX, run your beads across the subfloor, spread with the matched Bona trowel, lay the board in while the adhesive is still wet. No mixing, no waste, no pot life to worry about. Boards walk-on in 4-6 hours and can be sanded in 12 -- meaning you can glue down, come back next day and start the sanding sequence without losing schedule.

Subfloor too wet?
Quantum T is itself a moisture barrier but the subfloor still has to meet spec. Ring with your moisture reading and the concrete age -- we'll tell you whether to prime with R410 or R540 first, or whether you can go straight onto the slab.
